Things to do: Fall Activities Autumn is a time when the kids are back in school, work is in full swing, and we’re all preparing for the upcoming holiday season. With the cooling weather comes a season full of fall activities, such as apple picking, trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins, and baking delicious treats. Below are a few our favorite fall activities we enjoy doing here in the southwest. 1. Baking fall-themed treats Listed earlier in this post, baking is one of our top favorite things to do once fall rolls around. Now that it’s no longer 90+ degrees outside, we can utilize our ovens to create delicious baked goods with all the flavors of autumn. Apple pie, pumpkin bread, and chai spiced cookies are some of our favorites. 2. Spending time in nature Fall is the perfect time to explore the local woods with your loved ones. With the drops in temperature and the beautiful changing leaves, one can immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature and experience the fall season firsthand. Another benefit? The beautiful scenery makes for great photos! 3. Attending the International Balloon Fiesta Exclusive to Albuquerque, New Mexico, the International Balloon Fiesta is one of our favorite early fall activities. Watching hundreds of hot air balloons float over our heads as we sip on our coffee, and experiencing such a personal, close-up look at the magic makes waking up at 4 a.m. to experience it all worth it.
